Madilyn Roberts
Hi, I’m Miss Madi!
With a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development with an Early Emphasis and over 10 years of experience working with young children, I’ve had the opportunity to learn alongside children in many different settings, including childcare, Head Start, Reggio Emilia preschool, and school district preschool.
Growing up in Tennessee, some of my favorite childhood memories were made outside, exploring the woods, getting muddy, and finding wonder in the little things. Those experiences shaped my belief that children learn best when they have the freedom to explore, ask questions, take safe risks, and follow their curiosity.
Suncatchers is a place where I hope children can experience that same sense of wonder, while building confidence, independence, and a lifelong connection to the natural world.

Outdoor preschool gives children the freedom to learn through movement, exploration, curiosity, and play. Instead of being confined to a classroom, children have space to get messy, take healthy risks, ask questions, solve problems, and connect with the natural world.
At Suncatchers, we believe some of the best learning happens when children are given the time and space to wonder, discover, and follow their interests. Nature becomes our classroom, and everyday experiences become opportunities to build confidence, creativity, independence, social skills, and a lifelong love of learning.

Tuition is $250 per month for our two-day-per-week program. We also offer a four-day-per-week option for $450 per month. Tuition reserves your child’s spot in the program and is due monthly. We believe children can enjoy meaningful outdoor play in all kinds of weather! Suncatchers is an all-weather outdoor preschool, so our days continue through rain, snow, cold, and heat with the right clothing and preparation.
Families will receive guidance on what children should bring and wear for different weather conditions. We monitor conditions closely and make adjustments when needed to keep children safe and comfortable. If unexpected severe weather develops while children are at preschool, we have an indoor space available where we can temporarily take shelter and continue our day with activities such as cooking, playdough, or other hands-on experiences.
Our goal is not to avoid every drop of rain or snow, but to help children experience the wonder of the outdoors while learning how to safely navigate the world around them.

Getting messy is part of the fun! At Suncatchers, we believe children should be free to explore, dig, splash, climb, and discover without worrying about keeping their clothes perfectly clean. Families should expect that clothing may get wet, muddy, or dirty during the day. We recommend sending your child in comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing that you don't mind getting a little messy.

Yes. Because Suncatchers is an outdoor preschool program with a small outdoor restroom setup, children must be fully potty trained before attending. Children should be able to recognize when they need to use the bathroom and independently manage toileting with minimal assistance.

Suncatchers is intentionally small, with up to 6 enrolled preschoolers per session. Because our preschool is located at our home, my daughter may also be present during the school day. This creates a cozy, home-based environment where children can build relationships, explore, and learn together.
